St. Mary School 100 Year Celebration

September 19, 2026

The year 2026 marks a full century since students moved from the St. Rose Academy building into the current St. Mary School building at the corner of 5th and H Streets. Our steering committee of school staff, alumni, and parishioners have planned an all-day celebration for Saturday, September 19, 2026 and everyone is invited!

The time frames are still being finalized, but the general agenda includes:

• A late morning Mass with the archbishop at St. Mary Church
• Open house at the school with tours, memorabilia, "School Lunch" in the auditorium, and the chance to connect with other SMS alumni and supporters
• A Centennial Celebration dinner at the Parish Center. This will be a casual event with a short program and more time to socialize

Our main focus now is locating as many former SMS students, staff, clergy, and other supporters as possible so we can make sure everyone is invited. You can help us by sharing your own information and that of anyone else who might not be on our list. You can submit information in writing to the school, or fill out our online form here. If you already receive our school newsletter and other mailings, then you are on our list and will receive an invitation as the event gets closer.
