NOVEMBER IN PRE K
Dear Parents,
WOW! November is upon us already. We have been so busy playing and learning in Pre K that time has flown by! Thank you for all your extra help in October-we had a wonderful time celebrating fall and Halloween , especially the pumpkin patch field trip. Also, thank you for attending your child's conference. I enjoyed talking with all of you. Here is what is happening in November:
CLASSROOM This month we will be exploring the concepts of "same" and "different", learning about the first Thanksgiving and the pilgrims and American Indians, as well as, continuing our letter days with B, C, D and E. In addition, we will begin our introduction into number recognition and sorting. Our religious education unit will cover listening and praying. We will also be conducting a few science experiments.
HOUSEKEEPING Attached you will find the December book order. Any orders are due by Friday, Nov. 9th and all orders will be here before we break for Christmas-books make great stocking stuffers and gifts and donŐt forget any nieces or nephews! Also attached is your November and December calendars. Please make sure you are aware of when your assigned week is. At this point all that is needed is juice and cups. Thank you! Please make sure your child wears a coat to school. We do go out for recess if it is not raining.
CALENDAR ITEMS We have no school on Thurs, Nov. 1st for All Saints Day and Mon., Nov. 12th for Veterans' Day, and Thurs. Nov. 22nd and Fri., Nov. 23rd for Thanksgiving. Looking ahead to December: Tuesday, Dec. 11th is Gingerbread House Making Day, Please plan to attend school with your child that day or send a special adult-everyone will need an extra hand! The Christmas Program is scheduled for Mon., Dec. 17th at 6:30pm in St. Mary Church.
As we are all giving thanks during this month of November, I would like to thank you for the wonderful children you send me every day and for your support! Have a super Thanksgiving and may God bless you and your families!
